We are proud to announce The Radiology Learning and Discrepancy Annual Conference 2019.
Radiology is the backbone of every specialty and aids in a wide range of diagnoses such as acute trauma, oncology and the pre + post-operative setting, to name a few. Despite the crucial role the department plays across all specialties, formal teaching to both medical students and junior doctors is lacking. With lack of formal radiology teaching and experience, simple, avoidable errors often lead to detrimental outcomes.
This conference provides a platform to allow juniors to present patients incorrectly diagnosed from a radiological perspective and discuss any implications and learning points. To further aid your learning, a series of talks from consultant radiologists will focus on common mistakes and tips for interpreting images.
This is an exciting opportunity for medical students and junior doctors alike. See you there!
Selected delegates will have the opportunity to orally present their cases of missed pathology to the group in the format of:
- Clinical History
- Original Image
- Presumed pathology
- Learning Point
All delegates will have the opportunity to present their posters on:
- Case reports
- Interesting cases
- Quality improvement
